Ramblings…

What has happened with customer service?  Is there such a thing anymore?  Over the last two weeks I have had issues with this.  First, our recycle company failed to pick up our recycling one week and then a partial pickup another week.  There is no phone number to call only an online “form” and a note that it could take up to 10 days to get a response.  I threatened to quit but we have no other provider in my area…..even our trash pickup missed us and after an email and phone call there was not return communication.  Same for Honda which never returned my calls when I needed an update on car repairs.  I’m sure if I was interested in BUYING a car they would have called me back within minutes.  Do you know what’s frustrating about all of this?  There’s not a darn thing we can do about it. Nobody cares even if you call them out on social media. Sad.

Trying to figure out where to go on our next trip that isn’t overly expensive or “people-y”.  Not having much luck with that.

NASA is trying to launch a rocket to the moon?  Why?  I’m sure the moon landing fakers will be back on it again.  They need to merge with the flat earthers.

Former President Trump is going to get in trouble now for all those classified documents the FBI found.  Really?  Don’t hold your breath.

Our neighborhood was recently named the best neighborhood in our city.  I’m not sure how that happened.  Who is doing the voting?

I’m more nervous driving a rental car than my own car.  We’re using a rental because our car hit a loose tire on the Interstate on August 21st. Thankful that it wasn’t any worse but a little frustrated that it is taking this long to get our car back.

High school football season is already in Week 3 and we are just now entered September.  It’s still hard to get into football in August.  I was reminded that it is necessary to get the season over before Christmas.

And as much as I try to move on, I still tune into football games on Friday Nights from Georgia.

I think my quest for the perfect keyboard is over - maybe.  I never found the perfect one but I have found the best ones which work the best for me.  I like the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio for my iPAD 10.2 because it’s very convenient when I need a keyboard but easily out of the way when I want to use my iPAD as a tablet.   For my iPhone, I like the Logitech Keys-to-Go keyboard.  It is very small and easy to clean if it gets dirty.  Neither keyboard is backlit but that’s about the only con.  I’m still thinking about which keyboard I like for times I want something more solid when I want to do some serious heavy-duty writing.  I think a full size, backlit keyboard might do it.  Maybe even one of those Bluetooth retro keyboards made like an old-fashioned typewriter.

Because of a finger injury a few years ago, it’s a little uncomfortable for me to take notes down quickly.  I asked my employer if they could buy me some screen recorder software to help me in recording training so that I can type the notes later.  Crickets…….

Blood Pressure is okay lately but it still puzzles me how I can never judge what my blood pressure is based on how I am feeling.  There are times it is high when I am feeling good and numbers are good when I am feeling bad.

My latest self-published novel was released last month and it is NOT a bestseller.  Shocking.

Speaking of reading….just finished one called The Unusual Second Life of Thomas Weaver: A Middle Falls Time Travel Story.  It was pretty intense and intriguing at the same time.  The character relives his life again.  It definitely took some turns I didn’t expect.
